The role will include all aspects of database development including data analysis to understand the application or data issues, SQL development including performance tuning, development of extract and load procedures, monitoring procedures, and stored procedures.
This person will work on a broad range of technologies including PERL, Java, Informatica, and Business Objects.
Skills Required
- Excellent understanding of data concepts with a focus on leveraging it for business intelligence purposes
- Experience with OLAP reporting tools including HFM, Essbase
- Advanced knowledge in one of the leading RDBMS systems with Sybase being a plus.
- Good knowledge of Perl, K-Shell, or other unix/linux scripting languages
- Candidate should have good communication skills, both written and oral.
- The candidate should be self-motivated
Skills Desired
- Database and Query performance tuning experience
- Business knowledge including financial applications such as general ledger accounting and other financial products will be a plus
- Working knowledge of Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) tools
- Experience with Reporting tools like Business Objects
