We are currently seeking a programmer analyst with at least two years of experience for our client, a leading manufacturer and distributor of packaging supplies.
Responsibilities:
Re-writing and modernizing legacy software to work in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Developing new programs, scripts and macros to assist users in making their day to day tasks more efficient.
Updating and maintaining the company’s web site.
Assisting the IT manager in supporting and maintaining the network, security and updates.
Providing user support, documentation, and troubleshooting.
Technical Requirements:
CEGEP or equivalent trade school diploma.
2+ years programming experience in one or more of the following languages or applications;
(VB.Net, Visual Basic, FoxPro, Alpha 5, or Xbase)
Excellent communication skills - must be fluent in French and English (Oral and Written).
Assets:
Expertise in Microsoft Office applications
Experience in Web page design
Knowledge of EDI and business accounting systems.
Familiarity with SCO Unix and BBX programming
