Our client, a leader in the VoIP industry, is currently looking for a QA Software Engineer to join its branch in MARKHAM, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity to join its QA team and learn about the latest VoIP and WAN technologies.
About the position:
- Develop tests in C, Perl and Shell to validate the software platform.
- Develop and extend existing Perl test framework and automate test cases. Conceive tests plans based on the product specifications.
- Linux/Windows Application Testing
- Linux/Windows Kernel Device Driver Testing
- VoIP/ISDN Signaling Testing
- IP/WAN Protocol Stack Testing
Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years in QA/Testing Experience
- Linux system and development experience (Install/setup/drivers)
- VoIP and Telephony domain knowledge.
- Perl development experience
- QA Testing Skills
- Regression Testing Suites
- Design of QA procedure and systems
- Programming and development in: Perl, Shell, C (C++ is an asset).
- Knowledge of Routing and Computer Networks, including IP/WAN Networking
Personal Skills:
- Willingness/ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-starter, motivated and ability to learn quickly.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelors in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
