Our networking client is looking for a Systems Architect to lead systems integration activities relating to current company products and services as well as future offerings. This is a full-time permanent position in Montreal, Quebec.
Responsibilities:
* Learn and understand the lines of business and major customers' service needs;
* Gather and analyze systems and integration requirements;
* Drive consensus on requirements between internal and external parties;
* Identify and recommend solutions on how requirements can be met;
* Perform business analysis and write business requirements, functional specifications, data conversion documents, test plans, and training material;
* Work closely with Development, Network and IT team to provide guidance, explain business requirements, context, and design to be implemented;
* Execute test plans and data integrity checks to ensure that solutions meet requirements;
* Manage project plans, scope, timelines, milestones and issues;
* Design and architect end2end solutions
Required Skills and Knowledge:
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
* Fluency in English. French is a strong asset;
* Initiative, taking ownership of tasks, and completing tasks with minimal supervision;
* Strong analytical skills. Ability to identify and resolve critical issues as they arise;
* Documentation skills and proficiency with MS Office suite of applications;
* MS Windows, Virtualization and Open Source skills on platforms architecture and configuration
* Experience with setting up Labs and Production environment as architect and/ or systems/ networks lead
* TCP/IP architecture and related networking solutions
* Programming knowledge a plus;
* Team player and leadership skills
* Database knowledge
Required Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years' experience in Information Systems (IS) or Information Technology (IT);
* Minimum 1 yr. in architecture and/ or team lead role over an end2end technology solution
* Bachelor's degree in a related field is a strong asset;
* Experience performing business analysis and producing end2end solutions implementation plans;
* Experience with network management, ticketing, inventory, provisioning, CRM, NOC and other OSS systems a definite plus;
