We are looking for senior programmer / developer with minimum of 5 to 7 years experience working in the financial IT community. The ideal candidate will have several years experience using an ETL tool such as Ab Initio or Informatica (Ab Initio strongly preferred). Individual must possess excellent design and development skills in UNIX/Linux, Perl/scripting, and database design areas. Knowledge of ETL concepts and tools is a must. Individual must be self-starter and able to work within a large team. Individual must possess strong analytical skills. Individual will be responsible for design and implementation of back-end processes that handle the movement, transformation and calculation of data. Above all else, individual must be an excellent communicator.
Skills Required
- Software design experience on the Unix or Linux platforms
- In-depth knowledge of UNIX/Linux environment
- In-depth knowledge of SQL and RDMBS (Sybase and/or DB2 preferred) environment
- Perl, ksh scripting languages
- Knowledge of Extract/Transform/Load (ETL) tool concepts
- Experience with Ab Initio or Informatica preferred
Skills Desired
- Knowledge in the Financial data arena (risk/trade data)
