You will need to ensure stability targets, quality of support and standards are achieved. Includes deployment planning & execution, level 1 & level 2 support.
Skills Required
o Intermediate knowledge of UNIX operating systems
o Familiarity with relational database concepts and basic sql syntax
o Familiarity with middleware based (java) application architectures.
o Prior application support experience
o Perl and shell scripting
o Excellent prioritisation and time management
o An analytical approach to problem solving
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
Skills Desired
o ITIL Certification
o Prior financial services industry experience
o Familiarity with IT infrastructure – networks, storage, unix system administration etc.
o Familiarity with application infrastructure – MQ, Autosys, Databases (DB2 an advantage)
