The role will include all aspects of PeopleSoft development including data modeling/design, performance tuning, revising production processes, supervising developers, quality assurance reviews, and turn over processes.
Skills Required - Solid experience with PeopleSoft SQR language - must be able to create new SQRs or modify existing SQRs from given instructions or detailed specifications. Must be able to debug SQR issues with little help or guidance.
- Solid experience with PeopleCode - must be able to do PeopleSoft online coding such as edits, fields, records, pages, menus from given instructions or detailed specification. Must be able to troubleshoot and debug PeopleSoft online issues.
- Solid experience with PeopleSoft Application Designer
- Working knowledge of UNIX commands and the ability to navigate, edit, ftp files, and search the environment.
- Solid experience with Sybase or another relational RDBMS (Oracle, SQL server, DB2)
- Must be able to do complex SQL queries and use db tools to examine table structures, indexes, and other db objects with minimal guidance.
- Basic analysis, problem solving, debugging, unit testing, and regression testing, and preparing changes for production turnovers skills.
- Good communications skills, both written and oral. He/she would be interacting with business analysts and users to gather and document requirements during the analysis phase, and interact with other technical staff and management through the complete development lifecycle.
Skills Desired - Business knowledge including HR/payroll applications a plus
- XML and Integration Broker experience a plus
- Knowledge of Perl, K-Shell, or other UNIX/LINUX scripting languages a plus
- Experience with workflow and business rule processing a plus
