Key Responsibilities:
-Maintain hardware and software inventories
-Document and enforce internal IT and security policies
-Monitor the performance of the Help Desk
-Ensure that a suitable Disaster Recovery plan is in place for all key business functions
-Procurement of new hardware and software to for the IT System.
-Monitoring and maintenance of the IT network.
-Support for the Engineering and QA teams
-Install and maintain various computer and telecommunications equipment such as PCs, notebooks, monitors, printers, modems, cables and related components.
Functions and Tasks:
-A minimum of 5 years of experience with installation, configuration and support of Windows and Linux, Unix (solaris).
-Experience with internet connectivity, firewalls, Unix , Linux and web site maintenance and design are highly desirable.
-Extensive experience of networking technologies
-Experience in Xen, VMware, virtualization
-A strong working knowledge of Networking with Microsoft Windows Server, ISA Server, MS Exchange, wireless, telecommunications, SharePoint Server, Performance Point Server, Microsoft MOM, Communications Server and MySQL Server
-Experience in the development and implementation of standards is desirable. Knowledge of best practices and standards in IS delivery (e.g. ITIL, CMM).
Required Experience, Skills and Abilities:
-Ability to project manage IT solutions delivery
-Bilingualism (English/French)
-Motivated self-starter and able to work with minimum supervision.
-Must possess excellent time management, organizational and communication skills.
-Flexible attitude to working in a cross-functional, project based organization.
